September 14, 2020

To students in the Graduate School of Life Science, Hokkaido University

Masakane Yamashita
Dean, Graduate School of Life Science

I would like to thank all the students for their cooperation to prevent the spread of the new coronavirus infection.

Since July 10, Hokkaido University has been keeping the Alert Level 1 (Restriction-Low) prescribed in the Hokkaido University Business Continuity Plan During Coronavirus Outbreak (BCP).
Concerning general education classes, Hokkaido University will permit face-to-face classes from the Second Semester with sufficient infection prevention measures in place, and students are encouraged to prepare to commute to the campus and to attend the classes.

In accordance with this decision of Hokkaido University, the Graduate School of Life Science has decided to conduct classes through a combination of face-to-face classes and online classes from the second semester. We kindly ask all students in the Graduate School of Life Science to prepare well in case that you take face-to-face classes.
Implementation method will vary depending on classes, so please follow instructions from each instructor.

Carrying out face-to-face classes means that each of us needs to take more efforts to prevent the spread of the new coronavirus infection. Please be more cautious about the infection prevention.
Thank you in advance for your continuous cooperation.
