This is because the Hokkaido Government agreed to implement measures equivalent to stage 4 of the coronavirus alert level (http://www.pref.hokkaido.lg.jp/ss/ssa/1117tsuikayousei.pdf), and more and more people in Hokkaido University are infected with Coronavirus.
Specific countermeasures on Alert Level 2 have been already noticed to all faculty member, so please follow the instructions of your supervisor.
We appreciate your continued understanding and cooperation to prevent the spread of infection such as cough etiquette, hand washing, avoiding the 3Cs (confined spaces/crowded places/close contact) and avoiding eating in large groups (more than 5 people) for a long time (more than 2 hours), not only when you are in Campus but also in outside of the Campus.
